Beyond one-to-one lessons

Group classes and courses

Private lessons are not the only way to learn well. Alongside one-to-one teaching I run small-group classes, a structured fundamentals course, and short workshops, so good music teaching is within reach of more families across the Avalon. Each runs in intakes; join the waitlist below for the next one.

The offerings

Three ways in

Small-group classes

Waitlist open

The same teaching, with a few students learning together.

Small-group voice and music-fundamentals classes: a handful of students, the same careful teaching as a private lesson, and the motivation that comes from learning alongside others. A good fit for children who do better with peers, and for adults who would rather not learn alone.

For: Children and adult beginners who learn well with a few others.

Music fundamentals course

Waitlist open

A structured course in the basics every musician needs.

A step-by-step course in the fundamentals, reading music, rhythm, and ear training, that works alongside lessons on any instrument or stands on its own. The same careful curriculum every time, so the quality never depends on the day.

For: New musicians, and parents who want their child's lessons to rest on a real foundation.

Workshops

Waitlist open

Short, focused sessions on one thing at a time.

One-off and short-run workshops on a single topic: an introduction to singing, ukulele basics in an afternoon, or sight-reading for students who already play. A low-commitment way to start, or to sharpen one specific skill.

For: Anyone curious about music who wants to start small.

Prefer one-to-one?

Private lessons in voice, piano, ukulele, and guitar are the heart of the studio.
